ABOUT AN
BEST OF
DESIGN 2023

The Architect’s Newspaper speaks directly to leaders in architecture and design with news, products, developments, trends, and updates. With our magazine, AN Interior, our outreach to the design community has grown exponentially.

Our 11th annual Best of Design Awards is a unique project-based awards program which showcases great buildings, building elements, interiors, and installations. Entrants are invited to submit completed works in 39 categories which reflect AN’s editorial coverage, as well as the interests of our readers.

The Best of Design jury will judge entries based on several criteria: strength of the presentation, evidence of innovation, creative use of new technology, sustainability, and, most importantly, good design. Winning projects will be featured on archpaper.com where they will reach a national and international audience and will be promoted via our online and social media platforms. Winners will also receive a limited-edition print from Archigram produced especially for AN.

A submission to AN’s Best of Design Awards is an opportunity for your work to be seen by 1 million+ AN readers and members of the AEC community.

Winners will be announced in December 2023.

PUBLICATION AND ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS

Winning projects will be published in print in AN’s Best of Design 2023 issue, which will arrive in December. Photos, descriptions, and juror comments will appear in this gorgeous publication that reaches readers nationwide and is distributed at industry events and conferences throughout 2024.

This coverage will also be featured on our website, where it will reach a national and international audience, and will be promoted via our online and social media platforms. Winners will also receive a limited edition print from Archigram produced especially for AN. Be seen by 1 million+ AN readers and members of the AEC design community!

TROPHY

Winners will receive an archival print from the Archigram archive signed by Archigram members. As seen above, last year’s winners received a copy of Bournemouth Development, Arcade, limited edition, on Hahnemühle German Etching paper (24 3/4 × 18 1/2 inches). A new print will be selected, produced, signed, and mailed to winners for this year’s competition.
